Angela Sclafani is a New York City-based songwriter, performer, recording artist, and theatre-maker.

Her music has been praised for its “engagingly original lyrical story, inventively appealing imagery and smartly crafted melodic design." Angela is a three-time first-place winner in the Great American Songwriting Contest’s Adult Contemporary category and was a finalist in the 2021 Unsigned Only Competition. In 2022, her single Bell Jar made the Spotify editorial playlist "Fresh Finds Folk". Angela's first full-length album Songs of Other Selves was released in February 2023 and is available to stream and download online. 

Angela's theatrical projects include her original song cycle, PASSION PROJECT: Love Songs from Women to their Work, which premiered in NYC and featured a lineup of Broadway performers. Her debut musical, THE OTHER SIDE OF PARADISE, premiered in Ars Nova's ANT Fest under the direction of Hunter Bird. Angela and Hunter are also co-writers of a new musical called THE GOLDEN RECORD about the creation of the time capsule that launched with NASA's Voyager Mission in 1977.​​

As a creative and multi-hyphenate artist, Angela is often synchronously performing, writing, and co-producing her projects. Because of her versatile work in both the theater and music worlds, Angela has had the opportunity to perform with renowned artists such as Todd Almond, Courtney Love, Shaina Taub, Heidi Rodewald, & Years and Years. Her work has been performed in venues such as The Beacon Theater, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, 54 Below, Ars Nova, and Rockwood Music Hall.

Angela is a 2019 Fred Ebb Award Winner and a 2018 Richie Jackson Artist Fellow. She is a 2023 Jerome Hill Artist Fellowship Finalist in Music, a 2018 Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist, and a 2017 Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award Semifinalist. She was named a Woman to Watch on Broadway by the Broadway Women's Fund in 2022. Angela earned her BFA at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
