Part concert, part concept album, part community forum - MAYBE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT FOR ME IN NEW YORK is both a musical love note and letter of frustration to the city that is always changing, but not in ways that support it's people or it's culture. In songs and spoken-word, singer-songwriter and theater-maker Angela Sclafani weaves nostalgia and history throughout a busk-like performance that invites the listener to consider the wealthy's century-long political strategy behind the constant shaping and re-shaping of New York. With threads that highlight class consciousness, the birth of radical art movements, and the rise of greedy real estate moguls, a 4th generation New Yorker examines the death and potential resurrection of a great city.
